About Us

Our Aims

The Global Alliance for Palestine is a dynamic international coalition of grassroots movements, civil society organisations, academic and cultural institutions, trade unions, digital platforms, and public figures dedicated to the Palestinian people’s struggle for justice, self-determination, and national liberation. The Alliance emerged in the wake of Israel’s 2023 War on Gaza – an inflection point that galvanised global consciousness and provoked an unprecedented wave of solidarity. We exist to consolidate this momentum and translate it into sustained, strategic political pressure and cultural transformation.

Our Mission

Our mission is to amplify and safeguard the global movement for Palestinian liberation by uniting the fragmented landscape of solidarity efforts into a coherent, coordinated international front. We aim to expose and dismantle dominant narratives that legitimise occupation and apartheid, and instead elevate frameworks grounded in historical truth, international law, and human dignity. By creating spaces for collective strategy, shared infrastructure, and cross-regional collaboration, we work to ensure that support for Palestine is not only visible but influential in shaping policy and public opinion.

“Zionism as a project of total annihilation, enabled by the impunity Israel enjoys from the international community. The hypocrisy, double standards, and complicity of the West have been laid bare… In Ireland, we too have lived and died under colonisation and occupation — we cannot and will not stay silent. From today, we should develop and strengthen the Global Alliance for Palestine — to make it our common cause.”

– Gerry Adams

The Steering Committee and Interim Executive Committee members collective expertise, moral authority, and international standing strengthen a movement committed to elevating Palestinian voices and challenging the structures that enable their oppression.

Our Principles

Rooted in principles of transparency, democratic governance, anti-racism, and pluralism, the Alliance protects the rights of activists and organisations facing repression, censorship, or criminalisation. We confront efforts to delegitimise Palestinian advocacy—whether through the politicised redefinition of anti-Semitism, surveillance, or blacklisting of individuals and institutions. We oppose all forms of discrimination, including anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and anti-Palestinian racism, while upholding the right to critique and resist systems of oppression.

Our Objectives

  • Unify and strengthen solidarity movements globally, with a focus on building power in Western countries where political and financial support for Israel is most entrenched.
  • Mobilise coordinated international campaigns that challenge the legitimacy of Israeli apartheid, occupation, and war crimes in legal, political, and cultural arenas.
  • Protect the civic and political rights of Palestine solidarity activists and organisations through legal, digital, and media defence mechanisms.
  • Facilitate strategic coordination among movements, from student unions to parliamentary allies, ensuring alignment in narrative, messaging, and action.
  • Challenge and disrupt the Zionist lobby’s influence over Western policymaking through counter-lobbying, public education, and institutional pressure.
  • Develop and promote a shared platform for messaging, media content, and historical documentation to reshape how the world understands Palestine.

Through sustained mobilisation, political advocacy, and cultural resistance, the Global Alliance for Palestine is committed to advancing a global consensus that affirms the Palestinian people’s right to freedom, return, and full sovereignty.

“The Global Alliance for Palestine represents a crucial step towards unifying our efforts and ensuring that the calls for justice and an end to the occupation resonate globally. We must translate solidarity into tangible action, relentlessly challenging the impunity that allows such atrocities to continue and working towards true national liberation.”

– Dr Mustafa Barghouti
