According to the latest SIPRI report (March 2026), Israel has officially overtaken the United Kingdom to become the world’s 7th largest arms supplier. Accounting for 4.4% of global exports, Israel’s arms trade grew by a staggering 56% between 2021–25 compared to the previous five-year period.
This surge has significantly bolstered Israel’s domestic industry despite growing international reluctance to purchase Israeli arms. Despite Israel’s genocide in Gaza, global demand for Israel’s high-tech hardware – specifically air defence systems – remains high.
Israel’s reach is also global, with 41% of its exports going to Europe and 40% to Asia and Oceania, alongside a growing footprint across the Americas, Africa, and the Middle East.
In light of these figures and the ongoing genocide in Gaza, the Global Alliance for Palestine (GAFP) continues to call for an immediate end to all arms deals with Israel.
