Over 200 Organisations Across 60 Countries to Mobilise on 10 October

On 10 October, civil society organisations, trade unions, solidarity movements, student unions, and human rights networks across more than 60 countries will unite in a coordinated Global Day of Action for Palestine. Initiated by the Global Alliance for Palestine (GAFP), with the support of the South African Chapter of the Global Anti-Apartheid Movement and the Global Coalition against Occupation of Palestine (SANED), this international mobilisation brings together over 200 organisations to demand the protection of Palestinian land, an immediate end to the genocide in Gaza, an end to displacement, and full accountability under international law.

A Global Civil Society Mobilisation
On 10 October, peaceful civil actions – including but not limited to marches, public gatherings, sit-ins, cultural events, and educational initiatives – will span across Europe, the Americas, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and the Pacific. Participating movements in major urban centers – from London to Sydney, Berlin to Brussels, Prague to Athens, São Paulo to Mexico City, Kuala Lumpur to Johannesburg, and beyond – will make their shared message visible in public spaces worldwide.

This mobilisation connects grassroots initiatives across continents into a unified platform. Participating entities represent a broad cross-section of civil society, including anti-war movements, labour organisations, student associations, human rights networks, and groups advocating for disarmament and international justice.

Key Demands of the Campaign
Participating organisations are united around four core, interconnected demands:

1. Protect Palestinian Land: End land seizures, settlement expansion, settler violence, and forced displacement across the West Bank and Gaza to ensure Palestinian communities can remain on and maintain connection to their land.
2. End the Genocide in Gaza: Protect civilians, uphold international humanitarian law, and address the ongoing genocide perpetrated by Israel in Gaza.
3. End Military Supply Lines: Examine and halt all transfers, supply chains, and relationships that contribute to Israel’s illegal military operations and violations of international law.
4. Enforce International Law Without Exception: Ensure independent and universal accountability against Israel’s war crimes, crimes against humanity, rejecting political selectivity in the application of international justice.

Participating Organisations Include:

  •  Palestine Coalition (UK)
  •  Stop the War Coalition (StW)
  • Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND)
  • Palestinian Forum in Britain (PFB)
  • Muslim Association of Britain (MAB)
  • Union of Palestinian Organisations in Latin America

Official Position
The Global Alliance for Palestine and its partner organisations maintain that the protection of Palestinian land, the defence of civilian lives, and the universal enforcement of international law are inseparable. On 10 October, movements around the world will present a clear message:

  • No normalisation of Israel’s genocide.
  • No dispossession or displacement of Palestinians.
  • No impunity for violations of international law.
  • Full protection of Palestinian land and rights.
  • An immediate end to the genocide in Gaza.
